My favorite Pooh characters were always Piglet and Rabbit. But I did tear up when seeing Pooh in this. He’s just so adorable. we watched half of this in January! It was good so far! I think it's actually lovely. Pooh bear would look like that now to Christopher Robin as he has grown up and was very loved so he would look a little bit more threadbare. I watched a big cinnamon colored sow swat one of her cubs and sent it rolling head over heels across the road because it wasn't moving as fast as she wanted it to. I have to admit it reminds me of the time I walked out of kindergarten on my first day of school and walked home and mom put me in the car and brought me right back to school, after that I stayed in school Thank goodness the traffic stopped! Why can a pregnant mother post thing about her pregnancy and her birth and baby shower and after birth when the child goes home but these parents can’t share the joy of telling the little girl they love that they are gunna become her parents forever!!! It should be more celebrated it’s a beautiful thing to be adopted to be chosen for you!! I’ve adopted 4 beautiful children and I shared every moment of it so shame on you who say keep it private cause we adoptive parents have every right just as a parent that gives birth has the right to share their joy so do WE I consider myself a man and strong but this softened me up I gave my kids a big hug and told them how much I love them that girl had me remember how i need to love take care of and protect my children thank you for this!!! I was adopted into a white family I was very sick I was born with drugs in my system and was struggling with withdrawals. My parents my real parents saw this sick deaf baby and wanted to adopt it flaws and all. They found out I had a brother in the two year process it took to adopt and said either you bring her tohim or you give him to us because they didn’t want us to be separated and they didn’t want him. I can’t imagine my life without him. I can’t imagine my life without them. This man's name is Randy Marino Stevenson. He raised my brothers and i since we were babies. I was about two years old when we met him. We started calling him "Dad" just weeks after we met him and hes been our Dad ever since. My parents sepperated when i was about 12 but he refused to walk away from us and always made an effort to see us as much as possible. He raised us into adulthood and loved us until his last breath! Hes been gone 3 years this month and i miss him more with each passing day! I am and will always be forever grateful for this amazing man i call my Dad! Miss you pops. These are observations that me and my white friends discuss in civil discourse. If you are as open-minded as you claim to be then surely you can acknowledge this is truth. Systems do not treat people of color the same, which means by and large mainstream Society does not treat people of color the same- because it is people that make up systems. A courtroom never discriminated against anyone personally. It is the people who hold positions as attorneys and judges that decide the fate of men and women. so please don't lecture me about inclusiveness... I literally said that it is a well-intentioned statement. But since you're analyzing arguments, really take into account what I am saying instead of "picking apart someone's words". Well intentioned" sentimemt. I was not being condescending to those making the remark in as much as you are being condescending to me expressing my opinion. You are proving my point however. That phrase, the well-intentioned, is a bit of a slap-in-the-face to people who are reminded of their color daily in the criminal justice system, in the educational system, in political systems, in athletics, in the medical community, and the list goes on. No matter how much education I receive the first thing people notice about me is that I am a 6-3 black man. I have to maintain civility to prove that I am not a threat in mainstream culture and this happens more often than you think. As we move from the equator we need less melanin. My mother was a wise woman. She postulated, “Perhaps God made us different on the outside so he could know who each is on the inside, by the way we treat one another.” The most important thing here is this “little girl” found her forever home. From her reaction the fact her parents have less melanin than her is of no consequence. First, this is beautiful and I'm 100% in support of it. Love transcends all boundaries. However, as I read through comments, I realize that I hate the phrase "I don't see color." You see, our various shades and demographics create diversity and diversity is beautiful. The only person who says they don't see color, is one who has never been affected by it. You can bet these parents see color. Rebecca, what’s wrong if people ask questions about her natural family? Why is that a bad thing? She’s old enough to know that her adopted family is HER family. And whatever happened before, whatever life was like before, she’s found her family, she’s safe, and loved. Those are the most vital things we can learn in this life. Our past doesn’t have to define who we are. Why keep a vid like this private when it will not only encourage adoption in general, but might also encourage more adoptions of kids that are no longer babies or infants?
