Georgia Bulldogs all summer long she was a sweet southern lady then football started shirt

In the Georgia Bulldogs all summer long she was a sweet southern lady then football started shirt in other words I will buy this beauty industry specifically, Black people have been trailblazing within the space for decades. Think: Annie Turnbo Malone and Madame CJ Walker, who were successful entrepreneurs within the haircare industry. Then there are the models who help us to feel seen in the pages of magazines, like Beverly Johnson, the first Black model to be on the cover of American Vogue. And of course we can’t forget our beloved artists, such as the late, great Cicely Tyson, who brought us wisdom and head-turning, unapologetic beauty, on screen and off. Here, to further celebrate our inspirations, 38 beauty trailblazers in their own right—from supermodels to beauty business owners, makeup artists to hairstylists—share their biggest beauty heroes of all-time. For me, beauty and activism are intrinsically linked. I think of myself as somewhere between Angela Davis and Betty Davis. Although unrelated, I feel a kinship with both figures beyond sharing last names and signature Afros. Angela because of her fervent passion for social justice, and Betty because of her rock & roll, society-defying edge.” Annie Turnbo Malone is my biggest inspiration. A Black woman forging her own beauty empire was unthinkable over 100 years ago. She not only accomplished that; she also gave many other Black women the knowledge and opportunity to become beauty entrepreneurs themselves—including Madam C.J. Walker—at a time when they were banned from all work except domestic labor. I’m incredibly inspired by the precedent she set for Black female entrepreneurship and her willingness to help other Black women succeed. Karen Alexander is, was, and forever will be my beauty inspiration. She was one of the first models I would search for in magazines and every spread was pure magic. Finding people in magazines and on TV that had skin and hair like mine… she felt like a unicorn. A beautiful unicorn whose Blackness seemed to be celebrated. Seeing Bethann Hardison and JoAni Johnson stand in their regal beauty both propels and fortifies my instinct to keep allowing my own unique beauty to be simple and majestic as I age. And as a result, I waste little energy worrying about tomorrow and play more today. That’s the best beauty tip ever—to smile and enjoy this life.” My mother is my first beauty icon, an actual goddess both ageless and alluring. From her seasonal skin-care routines to her dewy makeup tricks and her love for wearing color, she’s always been my reference. So creative, so in-tuned, and so nurturing to herself; she sees beauty as a form of self-care. It’s an active meditation for her and a powerful way of intention setting for the day. Growing up, sitting on the tub while watching her put on makeup or treating her skin was one of my favorite ways to spend time with her. I learned that there is no such thing as a “reason to get dressed up,” you are the reason and life is always the perfect occasion. This is why I’m serious about my skin-care products, I’ll show up in an actual gown to a casual event, or wear a hot pink lip to a 9 a.m. meeting. It’s truly in my blood.”

This continues the now longstanding tradition of the Cambridge’s laid-back holiday greetings. Despite, you know, being the royal family, every year they choose to broadcast themselves in a normal light. Last year, for example, the family shared a black and white picture where a cap-clad Prince William kissed the cheek of toddler Louis. In 2018, they posed on a tree trunk in the woods, with Prince George wearing a pair of wellies. We’re almost done with 2020...

I was taken to the Dentist Dental Assistant Dental Hygienist Shirt But I will love this theater a lot as a child—I have a very art-y aunt, also called Leila—and the National Theatre here just captivated me. I was like, “Oh, I want to do that.” But it became clear that that was not, perhaps, the chosen profession for an academic Middle Eastern girl. And I’m an only child, so you can imagine my family was like, “[You’ll be a] doctor, lawyer, accountant.” So I said to my mum, when I was 17, “I think I want to go to drama school.” And she said, “It’s a no, but if you can get a degree from Oxford or Cambridge, then we’ll think about it.” So I studied at Oxford under duress—I found it very, very hard—but then went to drama school and did my theater training and had a wonderful time. I ...
