Currently in Koh Samui the rain is slowly stopping so has the wind definitely not as bad as the news is making out Nakhon Si Thammarat was the worse place hit but just been a lot of rain here really  My wife's family are from Pak Phanang, her cousin's house had it's roof blown off. Pak Phanang took the brunt in 1962 as well. My wife was a toddler then, and she remembers the floods and wind. We have been preparing to handle it almost a week. Not the popular tourists were hit but residential areas that are affected. Mostly it is just heavy raining. Hi it’s not too bad where we are, it was raining all day yesterday but we are leaving first thing today to go back south so hopefully it will have more or less passed by the time we are back down there.
